Like Old Times
I'm so glad I sent that email to B - she ended up emailing me back and suggesting we get a drink after work. We went to Palomino near my office and had a couple of glasses of wine. At first, it was a little awkward - I guess we had to get over that initial talk/shock of seeing one another after almost 3 months. As soon as we both decided we were ready to move on and be friends again, the rest of the night just seemed to flow naturally - like old times. We left Palomino chatting like old friends which I've missed and headed over to meet Mr. Lawyer at Delaney's to watch the rest of the game in OT. By the time we parked, changed, etc we had missed the game so we met him at Mamacita's instead. We had some food, some more wine and left Mamacita's a little hammered - but all in all a good night. At Mamacita's Mr. Lawyer was all smiles, chatty and fun. He seemed to look at me the way he used to which was a nice change from the past several weeks.
Afterward, Mr. Lawyer, B and I all walked back to the apartment together (way too like old times) and said our good nights. This morning, things were a little more back to the odd ways. I woke him up early suggesting we go to the gym but he didn't get out of bed. I woke him up again telling him that I'd just had a hot sex dream about him and instead of ripping my clothes off right then and there, he opted for a shower. What???! So while he shaved (as normal mornings go), I got in the shower. He came in, and that's when he wanted it. But it wasn't at all sweet, loving, or thoughtful. And it doesn't always have to be but it would be nice given the shit we've been going through lately. Oh well.
Anyway, tonight I'm having dinner with my friend S at Mamacita's (I know, AGAIN - I had no idea we'd end up there last night). Should be fun. I'm making an attempt to see the girls more often and spend a little less time with the guy.
